What Gulf Breeze does to a window
Gulf Breeze sits on the Fairpoint peninsula between Pensacola Bay and Santa Rosa Sound, and almost no home in town is more than a few blocks from one or the other. In Gulf Breeze Proper, between the Three Mile Bridge and Naval Live Oaks, the bayfront houses along Shoreline Drive get the salt straight off Pensacola Bay, and the sound side along Soundside Drive gets it from the south. The breeze from either direction dries on the glass as a milky haze within a couple of weeks, and the waterfront homes with walls of glass facing the water show it first.
East of Naval Live Oaks, along Highway 98 through Tiger Point, Midway and Oriole Beach, the problem shifts toward the trees and the irrigation. Villa Venyce and Santa Rosa Shores are canal neighborhoods where the water keeps the air damp and the glass shaded, so mildew settles on the north side of the house and on the lanai screens in spring and fall. Tiger Point backs onto the golf course and the sound, and the sprinklers there and in the newer subdivisions off Highway 98 run on well water that leaves a line of hard mineral spots along the lower panes. Everywhere in Gulf Breeze the pines and live oaks drop pollen every March and April.

Can you clean the glass on the canal side of the house?
Yes. In Villa Venyce and Santa Rosa Shores we clean the water-facing glass from the dock or the seawall with water-fed poles, and we work around the boat lift. Tell us on the quote form if the only access to the back is by water.
Can you remove sprinkler spots from the back windows?
In most cases, yes. Mineral spots from well-water irrigation need a dedicated treatment rather than regular cleaning. Tell us about them on the quote form and we will look at them on the first visit.
